Volunteer Info

Would You Like to Make a Difference in Your Community?

Did you know that you do not need a medical background to work in a volunteer medical clinic? Polk County is designated a medically underserved region. Since opening its doors in 2001, Lakeland Volunteers In Medicine has enrolled more than 14,500 working uninsured patients for free medical and dental care. As our patient population continues to grow, so does our need for volunteers.

If you have 4 hours, just one or two days a week, we would love to have you join our team! For more information, call the Volunteer Office at (863) 688-5846, ext 116 or e-mail us.
