The Swan Derby is a family-friendly fundraiser supporting Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine, which is held annually on Lake Mirror in Lakeland. This annual “Derby Style” event is free to attend and staged on the beautiful Lake Mirror in downtown Lakeland. With the event’s entertaining flair and the race’s competitive spirit, the Derby always promises to be a memorable occasion for all.

While enjoying the races, you will be entertained by a live band, able to grab some great eats, snacks, and drinks from local, food truck vendors, accompany the kids to the Swan Land activity/play area, and DON’T FORGET TO WEAR YOUR BEST DERBY HAT AND ENTER THE DERBY HAT CONTEST! To cap off the night, a fantastic fireworks display will take place at 9 PM.

The Swan Derby captures the thrill of a race and the purity of sports entertainment in a hometown setting. The true essence of the Derby is the reward of knowing the proceeds will support Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine. By attending the Swan Derby, you’re not only enjoying the race but also making a difference in our community’s health!

(NOTE: The VIP SPONSOR RECEPTION being held inside and on the balcony of the Magnolia Building is a PRIVATE event and only open to ticketed sponsors, jockeys, and guests. This is an ADULT ONLY reception and is not open to the public during the event.)
