July 2026 Volunteer of the Month

 

Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine is proud to recognize Tamara Resilard as our July Volunteer of the Month!

Since joining LVIM in July 2025, Tamara has generously dedicated more than 207 volunteer hours as a Healthy Living Coach (HLC) Support Nurse, helping empower patients to achieve healthier lives through compassionate care and encouragement.

Tamara was inspired to volunteer at LVIM because of her desire to give back to our underserved community and make a positive difference in the lives of others. She says one of the most rewarding parts of volunteering is being a member of the LVIM team and working alongside Michelle Snover, LVIM’s Healthy Living Coach, whose positivity, encouragement, and genuine compassion inspire both patients and fellow volunteers every day.

When asked what she would say to someone considering volunteering at LVIM, Tamara doesn’t hesitate to encourage them to do so. She describes LVIM as an incredibly positive place to serve and appreciates witnessing firsthand the high-quality, compassionate healthcare provided to our working uninsured neighbors.

Tamara is also a proud United States Navy veteran. Her military service instilled in her a lifelong commitment to serving others and a passion for making a meaningful, positive impact in people’s lives—values she continues to demonstrate through her volunteer service at LVIM.
