June 2026 Volunteer of the Month

Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine is proud to recognize Deanna Ferraiuolo as our June Volunteer of the Month. As one of our Clinical Phone Support Nurses, Deanna helps ensure patients receive the care, guidance, and support they need. In just over a year of service, she has contributed more than 460 volunteer hours to LVIM.

After retiring from nursing, Deanna wanted to stay active and continue using her skills to help others. She discovered LVIM and found that the Clinical Phone Support Nurse role was a perfect fit.

What Deanna enjoys most about volunteering is connecting with patients, staff, and fellow volunteers. Through regular phone calls and follow-up conversations, she builds relationships with patients and helps them navigate their care. She believes those personal connections can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

When asked what she would tell someone considering volunteering at LVIM, Deanna’s answer is simple: do it. She believes there is a place for everyone at LVIM and encourages others to get involved and make a difference in the community.
