Welcome, Nancy Lang!

 

Nancy has volunteered with LVIM three days a week since April, giving her time, expertise, and passion in support of the APRNs and MDs in the clinic. Before volunteering with LVIM, Nancy served as an LPN at Life Care Center of Winter Haven for nearly six years. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she also spent day and night working to vaccinate the community. With 50 years of nursing experience, her heart for healthcare is giant!

Nancy loves her eight dogs, her many friends, bringing joy to others, music, and our community.

In her role as Office Nurse, Nancy’s primary responsibility will be to provide support to family practice providers by facilitating seamless communication and coordination among the healthcare team. She will assist providers in attending to their tasks, triaging patients, following up on orders, and facilitating the overall flow of the clinic. The Office Nurse will also provide patient care across all age groups, administer medications, educate patients and families, document relevant information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and train volunteer triage nurses to ensure they are prepared to effectively support the clinic’s operations.

Nancy joined our team on August 22nd and will be in the clinic full-time,      Monday through Friday.
