Welcome, Taquilla Foster!
When LVIM posted the position of Medical Assistant, more than 25 qualified applicants responded; however, Taquilla quickly rose to the top!
In her recent professional experience, Taquilla helped open the WalMart Health Center in Plant City. She developed and implemented clinical policies and procedures, oversaw compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA regulations, provided excellent patient care, managed inventory, and so much more! Taquilla also comes to us with many years of experience as a medical assistant trainer.
As LVIM’s Medical Assistant, Taquilla’s primary responsibility will be to train volunteer Medical & Clinical Assistants, ensuring that all clinical administrative tasks such as taking patient health histories, preparing exam rooms, assisting practitioners during patient exams, and collecting vital signs are completed with care.
When asked to describe the difference between good and exceptional, she responded, “Good is when you need a little help. Exceptional is when you have it!”
We are excited to welcome Taquilla and add her exceptional expertise to our team!
Taquilla’s first day with LVIM will be September 9th; she will be in the clinic full-time, Monday through Friday.
