Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine is hiring a new Medical Assistant to join their team. The position is vital for ensuring seamless patient care and supporting healthcare providers. The Medical Assistant (MA) will train and supervise clinical volunteers, helping them perform essential medical assistant and clinical assistant duties. When volunteers are unavailable, the MA will step in to maintain the high standard of care LVIM is known for. Responsibilities include handling both administrative and clinical tasks such as maintaining patient records, preparing examination rooms, assisting physicians during exams, and collecting vital signs and past medical history. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of clinical experience and hold certification as a Medical Assistant, though EMTs, Paramedics, and LPNs will also be considered.
Salary range is $38,000 – $45,000 and will be determined based on experience and qualifications. Paid time off and benefits are included.
